email to someone printer friendly

Read this Psalm 34 daily and God is able to meet all your needs, the Psalm in English follows the text in Arabic

NEW-Psalm 34

Read this Psalm 34 daily and God is able to meet all your needs

The Book of Psalms

Psalm 34

1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Subject: dialogue

Dear Amal,
Thank you for opening this website and giving freedom to all of our people to take part in it freely, you made it really the website of all the Druze people.
Also I am glad to see that the participation in this website is so great, this make the messages that are posted in this website very effective for the benefit of our people. I also enjoyed reading the dialogue which took place in COMMENT under the title “druze” and
Please comment on what (Ummsalamah!!) writes.
Also I like your invitation to discuss other issues that are important for our community. I believe the problem of morality is very important, and how we can improve our relationships and live according to specific rules that can guide our conduct and life in and out of our community.
If you noticed in my previous message to your site I mentioned a book that was written by the Druze journalist in Israel Misbah Halabi. Mr. Halabi wrote about moral problems within the Druze society in Israel. I believe we have the same problems in our communities in Lebanon and Syria and other places. In fact my question is: according to which rules we are bringing our children, and according to which rules were we ourselves the adults brought up by our parents.
I know this is a difficult and sensitive subject to discuss, but yet we cannot pretend that our society is perfect and we have nothing to criticise, and try to improve.
By which rules we were brought up!! Or were we at all brought up by specific or any rules!!! What are the relations between boys and girls, men and women in our community!! According to which measure we measure, and according to which law we treat each other!! If there is any rule, or law, what are the bases for these!!
I talk sometimes about this subject with Dr. Samar Ali, and the truth is that this subject is occupying our minds in the "The International Association Of The Druze Women", The question is: According to which rules a Druze mother can bring up her children, and which rules are dictating today our conduct, as Druze adult community!!, can we say, according to our religion principles??, the truth is not, because our unreligious young mothers did not know the rules of our religion.
There are many other questions, to be honest, I can not be open to write them now, but I hope in the context of our dialogue more brothers and sisters of our Druze community will be able to raise them up, we have to be open and brave to raise them up, and not to act as if we are innocent, holy, pure without any mistakes.
With my greetings and hope that many will step in to talk about their experiences, frustrations and pains that they experienced in their life.
Haala Halabi
